Charley Parker
Executive Director
Charley Parker brings more than 36 years of experience serving older adults with compassion, integrity, and dedication. As Executive Director at Curry Manor, she is committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, supported, and truly at home.
Throughout her career, Charley has successfully led several assisted living and memory care communities, developing strong quality care programs, fostering positive relationships with state agencies, and consistently achieving operational excellence. She is respected for her leadership, loyalty, and ability to inspire teams to provide exceptional resident-centered care.
Charley believes that listening, compassion, and meaningful connection are at the heart of outstanding senior living. She is passionate about supporting residents and families while creating a community where dignity, comfort, and joy are part of everyday life.
Outside of work, Charley enjoys sailing, scuba diving, visiting beaches and waterfalls, and spending time with her beloved dog, Thor. She brings the same warmth, energy, and commitment to her personal life as she does to the residents and teams she serves every day.

Assistant Executive Director

Joy Mongkeya
HR / Onboarding Coordinator
Joy has been a valued member of the Curry Manor team since 2015 and currently serves as the HR / Onboarding Coordinator, a role she proudly stepped into in May 2022. Over the years, she has brought dedication and versatility to a variety of positions within the community, including housekeeping and laundry, front office, caregiving, med tech responsibilities, and business management support.
Her diverse experience throughout senior living has given her a well-rounded understanding of resident care, team support, and daily operations. Joy is passionate about continuous learning and is committed to helping both residents and staff thrive in a positive and supportive environment.
As HR / Onboarding Coordinator, Joy excels at welcoming new team members, guiding them through the onboarding process, and fostering strong relationships from day one.

Claudia Bass-Castro
Kitchen Manager
Claudia Bass-Castro brings over a decade of experience as a Kitchen Manager, serving residents with compassion, dedication, and care. She earned her degree in Accounting and has always valued hard work, leadership, and community involvement in every area of her life.
In addition to her career in food service management, she is also a decorator, caterer, and baker through her own small business venture. She enjoys using her creativity and hospitality skills to bring joy to others through food and special events.
Outside of work, she is actively involved in her community. She leads the Multicultural Ministry at St. Joseph Catholic Church and serves as Vice President of Mano Amiga, which means “Friendly Hand.” Supporting and uplifting others has always been an important part of who Claudia is.
One of the roles she is most proud of is being a single mother. She moved her family from California with very little and worked hard to build a better future for her children. Watching them grow into wonderful people has been one of her greatest accomplishments.
What makes her work especially meaningful is the opportunity to help, nourish, and bring smiles to residents each day. Knowing she can make a positive difference in someone’s life makes her journey truly rewarding.

Dan Collier
Head of Maintenance
Dan Collier joined Curry Manor in March 2025 as Head of Maintenance. With a background in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, and residential contracting, Dan brings more than a decade of hands-on experiene to his role. His work ensures that Curry Manor operates safely, smoothly, and beautifully – something he takes great pride in.
Dan loves coming to work each day at such a historic and charming property, where the atmosphere is just as inviting as the people. He especially enjoys building meaningful relationships with residents, often going above and beyond to lend a helping hand or simply brighten someone’s day.
Before joining Curry Manor, Dan held maintenance and management roles with local business including Roseburg Forest Products and Tire Pros. He also ran a photography business alongside his wife, contributing his skills in set building and studio upkeep.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys the outdoors, hands-on projects, and spending time with his family.

Frank Gaylor
Transportation
Frank is our driver in transportation; he prioritizes safety and reliability in every aspect of his work. In addition to his driving responsibilities, Frank serves as the Safety Coordinator at Curry Manor and assists with infection control, ensuring residents are cared for with the highest standards of health, safety, and compassion.
Known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and collaborative spirit, Frank is always willing to support his coworkers and contribute wherever needed. His commitment to teamwork often extends beyond his individual responsibilities, reflecting his genuine passion for helping others.
